The AFT 500 is built to provide power and productivity, with tracks that pull the paver through challenging conditions. The track system has rubber pads and an automatic tensioning system with a grease accumulator. The hydrostatic transmission is engaged by variable-flow pumps that feed two motors, with displacements attached to the planetary gearboxes that operate the tracks. An electronic and proportional control mounted on each pump provides a progressive start/stop and maintains a constant set speed.
